Harvest Algoma is dedicated to rescuing food and distributing it to food banks and social service agencies, ensuring that no one in the Algoma district goes hungry. Our mission is fueled by the dedication and support of volunteers and community members like you.

As a member of our fundraising committee, you’ll play a vital role in organizing exciting and impactful events that support our mission. Your expertise and connections within the business community in Algoma will help us reach new heights and make a lasting impact.
Committee Roles
We are looking for individuals to fill the following key roles:
- Event Chair: Oversee event planning and execution, serving as the primary contact for the event.
- Sponsorship/Finance: Manage sponsors and financials, handle ticket sales, and oversee the event budget.
- Logistics/Volunteers: Coordinate event logistics and recruit/manage volunteers to ensure smooth event operations.
- Food/Beverage: Collaborate with chefs and restaurants, and coordinate food donations and procurement.
- Art/Auction/Entertainment: Secure donations for silent auctions and raffles, and arrange live entertainment for events.
Expectations
Committee members will be expected to organize 1-2 events per year with the support of Harvest Algoma staff. The estimated time commitment is approximately 20 hours per event.
