Harvest Algoma is a regional food resource centre dedicated to reducing poverty and protecting the environment by rescuing surplus food and getting it to people who need it most.
As an incorporated not-for-profit focused on poverty relief and food-waste diversion, we work with food banks, community groups, growers, and volunteers to expand access to nutritious food.
Guided by our mission to support equitable food distribution, we strengthen local partnerships, divert food from landfills and build capacity needed for a more resilient, dignified and sustainable food system in our region.

Collecte d’aliments
En ayant recours aux marchands locaux, aux dons de la communauté et à nos propres serres, nous recueillons des aliments sains qui finiraient autrement aux poubelles.
Préparation de repas
Nos chefs et nos bénévoles transforment ces ingrédients en repas nutritifs. Ce qu’on n’utilise pas est remis aux fermiers du coin pour nourrir les animaux ou mis au compost.
Distribution aux gens
dans le besoin
Nous conservons les repas et les aliments pour les distribuer au sein d’un grand réseau de banques alimentaires, de refuges et de programmes communautaires dans la région.
Soutien aux organismes
Des employés de banques alimentaires et des responsables du traitement de cas dans notre région reçoivent ces aliments pour ensuite les distribuer aux gens qui en ont le plus besoin.
