We’re excited to announce that Algoma’s Longest Picnic Table has officially broken last year’s record!
Last year, the original table measured 108 feet long. It was built by retired community member Denis Beaulieu, one six-foot section at a time. Eighteen sections were joined together to create a table that quickly became more than just a fundraiser — it became a symbol of bringing our community together around food.
This year, we’ve taken it even further. Algoma’s Longest Picnic Table is now an incredible 114 feet long!
And we have Denis Beaulieu to thank once again. Denis built the table sections that made this project possible, and we truly couldn’t have done it without his hard work, time, and dedication.
