Harvest Algoma partnered with the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board (DSSMSSAB) to host a Meals by Harvest pop-up market at the Chapple Avenue Community Hub in Sault Ste. Marie.
The market offered prepared meals at 60% off regular prices, helping make convenient, affordable food more accessible to community members.
A Pilot Project with Plans to Continue
The October market was a pilot project, with plans to hold these pop-up markets regularly. The next market is planned for November, giving community members another opportunity to purchase affordable prepared meals closer to home.
Through partnerships like this, Harvest Algoma and DSSMSSAB are working together to improve access to affordable food and help address food insecurity in the community. Initiatives like this demonstrate the value of local collaboration in supporting individuals and families across Algoma.
Your Support Makes This Possible
Through Meals by Harvest and partnerships with local organizations, Harvest Algoma continues to explore ways to make affordable food available to more people in our community.
