Spring is in the air, and there’s no better way to welcome it than gathering with your community over great food and live entertainment! Mark your calendars for Harvest Algoma’s first-ever Harvest Bowl Fundraising Event, happening on Saturday, April 5th, from 2 PM to 4 PM, at the vibrant Downtown Plaza (73 Brock St.) in Sault Ste. Marie.

What to Expect

Get ready for an afternoon filled with delicious local cuisine, beautifully handcrafted bowls, and toe-tapping music. Your ticket gives you the choice of a one-of-a-kind bowl, lovingly made by Algoma’s talented local wood-turners and ceramic artists. Fill your new bowl with hearty soups, stews, and tasty dishes from some of your favourite local restaurants:

  • La Anh – Chicken Curry
  • The Soup Witch – Butternut Squash Soup
  • Northern Superior Brewing Co. – Sourdough Pretzels and Beer Cheese
  • Outspoken Brewing – Hearty Beef Chili
  • Café 4 Good – Spiced Fennel & Chickpea Stew
  • Chartwell Collegiate Heights – Perogy Soup
  • Harvest Algoma – Jig’s Dinner (Corned Beef Stew)

And that’s not all—live performances by local bands Fun and Funner and Spiders Have Names will keep the energy lively and upbeat throughout the event.

How it Works

Upon arrival, you’ll receive a punch card, allowing you to visit each food station and sample all the delicious dishes. Don’t worry—there will be wash stations to rinse and sanitize your bowls between each tasty bite! At the end of the event, your bowl is yours to keep, a practical keepsake and reminder of your support for local food security.

Why It Matters

All proceeds from the Harvest Bowl directly fund Harvest Algoma’s critical food rescue and community food security programs. Every bowl enjoyed helps feed families and individuals throughout the Algoma region, supporting over 60 local agencies, pantries, and food banks.
