A Night at Harvest returns Aug. 6 with a locally inspired dinner, live music and a silent auction supporting Harvest Algoma’s food rescue and food security programs
Fresh local flavours, live music and a beautiful summer evening come together for a good cause as A Night at Harvest returns to Harvest Algoma on Thursday, Aug. 6.
Now in its third year, the annual fundraiser invites guests to enjoy an unforgettable evening featuring a three-course dinner, locally inspired appetizers, outdoor live cooking demonstrations, music and a silent auction, all while helping ensure more food reaches families across Algoma.
Every ticket purchased supports Harvest Algoma’s work addressing food insecurity through its food resource centre, which serves a network of 70 partner agencies, including food banks and social service organizations throughout the district.
This year’s menu showcases local ingredients with globally inspired flavours, including live outdoor cooking by George Al Khoury of Georgie’s Shawarma.
Guests can also enjoy local musicians throughout the evening and a cash bar featuring a signature cocktail alongside locally crafted beer and wine.
Visitors will have the opportunity to tour Harvest Algoma’s gardens and greenhouse while exploring a silent auction filled with items and experiences donated by local businesses and community supporters.
The event comes as the need for food support continues to grow across the region.
Harvest Algoma says one in four Algoma families are living with food insecurity.
In 2025 alone, the organization rescued and redistributed more than half a million pounds of food that might otherwise have gone to waste.
“Our team is excited to invite the community into our space in celebration of all the amazing strides we’ve accomplished so far in 2026 alongside our collaborators and supporters,” said Lauren Moran, Community Enterprise Manager at Harvest Algoma.
“It’s also a time to reflect on all the work that’s yet to come as the need to address food security continues to grow. Events like this fill our cup and empower us to continue tackling these challenges head on,” continued Moran.

A Night at Harvest takes place Thursday, Aug. 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harvest Algoma, 446 Second Line E.
Tickets are $95 and include admission, a three-course meal, one drink ticket and entry into the door prize draw.
Guests can choose from standard, plant-based or gluten-free meal options.
Support tickets are also available for those who can’t attend but would still like to contribute.
