We are thrilled to announce a unique event that promises to be a delightful blend of literature, music, and community. On Sunday, February 11th, from 2 pm to 5 pm, join us at the Sault Ste. Marie Museum for the book launch and listening party of “You Get Bigger as You Go: Bruce Cockburn’s Influence and Evolution” by Author & Musician Mark Dunn.

A Celebration of Music

Mark Dunn’s latest book delves into the life and legacy of Canadian songwriter Bruce Cockburn. Known for his profound lyrics and exceptional guitar skills, Cockburn has been a significant figure in the music scene for over fifty years. Dunn’s book, which has garnered widespread acclaim since its release in December 2023, offers an engaging exploration of Cockburn’s influence through interviews with key figures like Bernie Finkelstein, musicians, activists, and Cockburn himself.

More Than Just a Book Launch

This event isn’t just about celebrating a remarkable book; it’s a gathering to support and promote important causes. In line with the spirit of giving, 20% of the net royalties from the book will benefit SeedChange and Harvest Algoma.

Additionally, representatives from The Canadian Kidney Foundation, The SSM Museum, and Harvest Algoma will be present, offering a great opportunity to learn about and support these vital organizations.

Special Guest Appearance

Adding to the excitement, Bruce Cockburn himself will be joining us via Zoom for a live Q&A session! This is your chance to gain insights directly from the legendary artist and perhaps even ask a question of your own.

How to Join

The event is free but ticketed. Secure your spot by reserving your ticket at Sault Museum’s event page.
